BROOME CHINATOWN REVITALISATION (STAGE 2)

Nestled in the heart of Broome, Chinatown stands as the vibrant epicentre of the community. Its redesign exemplifies the fusion of local heritage and dynamic modernity. Meeting the evolving needs of both locals and tourists, the visionary streetscape enhancement project was undertaken, transforming the area into a beacon of sustainable urban design.

The project incorporated a commitment to sustainability, with meticulous attention given to material specification and the microclimate. The project featured the Australian made Bautek Pavement Products, including JOINTSET, BOND, BED and GROUT, supplied by Pavement Innovations.

The installation executed by Lightning Brick Pavers, has not only redefined the aesthetic of Chinatown but has also fostered a renewed sense of place. The rejuvenated streetscape has become a magnet for pedestrians, significantly boosting foot traffic. This surge in activity has spurred economic growth, with many businesses extending their trading hours and an influx of new establishments enriching the community fabric.
