PORT COOGEE SOUTHERN PENINSULA (MARINA VILLAGE) STAGE 8
Coogee's allure lies in its pristine coastlines, ocean views, and an abundance of recreational facilities and amenities. The Southern peninsula has recently undergone construction in the development of an entirely new community, perched right at the ocean’s doorstep.
Pavement Innovations recently finished its second stage in the development of the southern suburb of Port Coogee.
For this project, Pavement Innovations supplied the Bautek rigid bound pavement system. The Australian made products were utilised in the construction of a trafficable cobble road, serving as the central thoroughfare for the local community. Additionally, Pavement Innovations supplied Stone Merchant granite pavers for the footpaths, offering a natural stone solution capable of withstanding the challenging coastal conditions. A combination of split face and tumbled split face cobbles have given the footpath a unique look and feel that now characterises the southern suburb. To ensure functionality and durability, larger format tiles were incorporated for outdoor gym areas and bicycle stations.
The result is a vibrant outdoor community space that encourages people to enjoy the surroundings, complemented with durable materials capable of withstanding the harsh seaside climate. Pavement Innovations successfully delivered the project on time and within budget, contributing to the creation of this new community.
